Tmt. Amutha Dhandapani

The journey begin 35 years ago when she choose Bharathanatyam as her divine inspiration. Having been trained under the most reputed gurus Tmt Vijalakshmi Shanmugam Pillai and Thiru Thanjai Arunachallam Pillai, she embarked (plunged into,) to this art with a passion. She later received intensive training at the Tamil Nadu Government Music College, from where she attained diploma “Natya Visharadha”.
The exalting standards of performance set by her and the maintenance of purity and traditional values of bharathanatyam, conferred her many titles such as
“Aadal Kalaimani”
“Natya Kalaimani”
“Natya Thilagam”
“Natya Kavalar”
“Baratha Kalai chudar”
“Aachaarya”
“Nrithya Rathna”
She has choreographed many dance ballets and her students have participated in many programs all over India and abroad. Her ideas and teaching have gone beyond borders and several performances have been staged in countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Abu Dhabi, Germany Canada and USA.
With her commitment, perseverance and devotion to this art, Tmt Amutha Dhandapani has generated a talented pool of disciples in Coimbatore and abroad.

K.M.D.MATHULA KISHORE KUMAR

One of the most prominent dancers, Tmt. Mathula Kishore kumar is an accomplished dancer, Choreographer and Nattuvanar in the field of Bharathanatyam.  She began her formal training in Bharathanatyam dance from her age of 4 under the loving and able guidance of her mother and Guru “Aadalkalaimani” “Nrithya Rathna” Tmt Amutha Dhandapani.  She has been gifted to carry the Traditional Pandanainallur style.

Her involvement, interest, adherence and passion for the art led her to pursue M.A in Bharathanatyam from Madras University, wherein she had the blessed opportunity to enrich her knowledge under Veterans like Tmt. Kalanidhi Narayanan and Prof. C V Chandrasekhar.  She continued to sharpen her research skills and completed her M.Phil and pursuing PhD in the divine art, under the guidance of Dr. S Raghuraman.

For performing and teaching she has been spotted for her skills in choreography. AS an extension she has also plunged into the ideas of contemporary trends.
